Meet Patrick & Cristy

The family behind the attic.

We’re not a large company, and we never want Cristy’s Paper Attic to feel like one. We’re a husband-and-wife team who believes family memories deserve to be known, shared, and passed down.

When someone trusts us with photographs, letters, records, keepsakes, or the story of someone they love, we understand that those pieces are irreplaceable.

A family helping families preserve the stories that should never be forgotten.

Patrick and Cristy, the husband-and-wife research and scrapbook team behind Cristy’s Paper Attic

Two different strengths. One shared purpose.

We each bring something different to every story.

Cristy — The Creative Heart

Cristy sees possibilities in photographs, paper, keepsakes, and details that other people might overlook. She builds the pages by hand, choosing the layout, textures, colors, layers, envelopes, fold-outs, pockets, and little flip books that make a scrapbook something you explore—not simply something you look through.

Her goal is not to make every page look the same. It is to make each page feel like it belongs to the person and story it represents.

Patrick — The Research & Story Side

Patrick loves helping uncover the history behind the photographs. For family-history and military projects, that can mean organizing timelines, researching units and assignments, finding historical context, studying maps, and helping connect scattered pieces into a story the family can understand.

Especially with Korean War veterans and earlier conflicts, the research can help descendants learn about relatives they remember—and sometimes people they never had the chance to meet.

Why we do this

Because photographs alone don’t always tell the whole story.

A name written on the back of an old photograph can become a real person again when the family knows where they lived, what they experienced, who they loved, what they served through, and why their life mattered to the generations that followed.

That is what excites us about this work. We get to help families bring those pieces together before the stories disappear.

“The one you begin today may become the book your grandchildren treasure most.”

Our promise

We’ll treat your family’s story like it matters.

We won’t turn it into a template. We won’t make it feel mass produced. And we won’t forget that the photographs, documents, letters, and memories you share with us may be among the most meaningful things your family owns.

We’ll listen. We’ll research where appropriate. Cristy will create with care. And together, we’ll work toward something your family can open, explore, talk about, and keep.

Tell us whose story you don’t want your family to lose.

You don’t need everything organized. Start with a person, a memory, a photograph, or a box of pieces. We can begin there.
